Privacy policy: Clipboard History

What is stored

Text you copy or cut on web pages, after you allow site access, or add by hand in the popup.

For each clip: the text, the site it came from, the time, whether it is pinned, and your tags. Your settings: history size, pause and excluded sites.

All of it is kept only in Chrome's local extension storage on this computer. It is not synced and is removed when you uninstall the extension.

What is never saved

Password fields, anything on sites you exclude, and anything while saving is paused.

What is sent over the network

Nothing. The extension makes no network requests at all. It has no analytics or crash reports, and it never loads code from the internet. Its security policy blocks every connection.

Permissions

storage: to keep your history on this computer.

scripting and optional site access: to notice when you copy on a page, only after you allow it.

offscreen and clipboardWrite: to copy a clip back when you click it.

Selling and sharing

I do not sell, share or transfer data. I never have it. I will never sell this extension or hand it to anyone else.
